Zaeire Artisan Chocolates

I am Leigh Kelly, creator and chocolatier of Zaeire Artisan Chocolates.  I create beautiful and delicious award winning products using chocolate from sustainably grown cocoa beans and quality ingredients.  I believe life is too short for bad chocolate.

I have always had a love for chocolate. I first began making chocolates in 2013 but it was very much a hobby and an escape from my hospitality job. I had always worked in hospitality- I loved it but didn’t love the long unsociable and non family friendly shifts.

I began researching recipes and techniques and used to test out new flavours on family members and colleagues. It was positive feedback from this that inspired me to pursue chocolate making.

It was after my son was born that I decided to create the business – Zaeire was born.  The name represents the story of my husband and I.  ZA is the international symbol for South Africa and the EIRE is Ireland. It is the coming together of our two countries – our very own love story.

Zaeire is an Irish business with strong core values. It is about creating delicious handmade chocolates that are both sustainable and ethically sourced.  The Callebaut Chocolate I use sources 100% sustainable cocoa and reinvests money to the farmers and their communities. Each pack of their chocolate has a QR code that can be scanned and will trace the cocoa back to its source.

Over the years I have developed products that have won several awards.  All the chocolates are handmade in small batches to ensure the highest quality each and every time.

From making chocolates in my home kitchen and first selling them in a shared craft cabin in The Bullring Market in Wexford Town, I am proud to be stocked in outlets across the country and shipping worldwide.  Zaeire HQ is located in the little village of Bridgetown Wexford – where the magic happens daily!

I am a lady that is passionate about creating beautiful and tasty chocolates that are perfect for gifting and enjoying anytime.  As I said before….
