About the Wexford Food Family

The Wexford Food Family is a not for profit network of food producers dedicated to growing the Wexford Food industry in our county through growing the business of our members.

Our aim is to make Wexford’s food industry the strongest in Ireland.

The Wexford Food Family was set up in 2011 to promote Wexford as a food brand locally, nationally and internationally. We also wanted to give food producers a way to meet and learn from each other and to grow the food industry in County Wexford. We know that we have some of the best food in the world right here and we want everyone else to discover that too.

It is vital for us all to support our local food producers, for the sake of building a sustainable food industry and to support the families who depend on these businesses.

We have approximately 50 members at the moment, ranging from a one person start up to large exporters – there is plenty for all members to learn from each other.

We acknowledge shops, restaurants, cafés and hotels who make special efforts to support local producers through our Official Supporters programme.

Wexford has long held an enviable reputation for food excellence, being hailed as the “model county: for its farming and food production innovations.

Testimonials

We’ve been members of the Wexford Food Family since 2011. The benefits that we’ve got over the years are huge. A conversation with another member at a meeting has often delivered the solution to a problem. We’ve teamed up with fellow members at different activities and courses, we’ve got great inspiration from the market study trips and definitely some of our listings have come through the Official Supporters programme. We would say every producer should be a member and to get the benefits out of the group you need to get involved.
