PRODUCER PROFILE
Byrne’s Farm is a family run farm located in Askamore nestled into the foothills of Slieve Bhui on the Wexford/Wicklow border. As a family run business it is our philosophy to farm our free range chickens to the highest welfare standards under the watchful eye of the Department of Agriculture.
All our chickens are brought in from a hatchery as day olds, they are kept in a climate-controlled (warm heated) environment for 10 days at minimum to ensure that they are well looked after in their early days. At Byrne’s Farm the chicks are housed in outbuildings just next to our family home so that we can keep a very close eye on all of them.
We now have our own EU Registered on farm processing facility where we have full control over the processing of our chickens under the supervision of the Local Authority Vet. Chickens will be professionally cleaned and prepared for cooking.

PRODUCT RANGE
Our chickens are fed on the highest quality ration, they are not given drugs and we do not use growth promoting additives. The chickens are allowed to roam freely in our fields during the day and are housed in spacious barns on straw bedding at night, this results in a tender tasty chicken with delicious flavour.
DISTRIBUTION
Our product is distributed directly from our farm in our refrigerated van. Our chickens range from 1.6kg to 3kg, we supply SuperValu stores, butchers shops, farm shops and farmers markets in Leinster. We supply chickens to local customers on a pre order basis. We also rear Free Range Turkeys. Please have your order in before 1st Dec.
